19″ x 19″ Yellow Scarf from Trowbridge Gallery – TS2165

Once translated, the literal name for a hammock is ‘fish net’ – this is because the original hammocks were used in Central America who would hang up their fish nets at the end of a long day fishing to rest, whilst keeping themselves safe from small creatures and insects on the ground.
